Fine Art Friday
The Things and I visited the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens a couple of weeks ago.
Here is our favorite work of art:
OK, it's not exactly a work of art...it's a fragment of a work of art. It's a portrait by John Singer Sargent of some lady whose name is unimportant enough that I don't remember it. The important thing is that she had a Cavalier!
There was also lots of statuary on the grounds:
Most of the statues were of Greek gods and mythological characters...this is Perseus and Medusa.

We couldn't get Strider to sit still for this - I think he knew he was being exploited.
