This is homeschooling

Did you know we homeschool?  I don't think I've blogged about it much because, although we love homeschooling, it's not always very exciting.
"Thing 1 wrote an essay today.  Thing 2 read 1 chapter in his science book and got 100% on a spelling test."
See?  It's not very thrilling.
But field trips are something to blog about!  We went to In-N-Out Burger yesterday for a behind-the-scenes tour.   It's our favorite fast food; everything tastes fresh, the employees are friendly, and the restaurants are spotless.  Even the book Fast Food Nation which decries the industry as a whole holds up In-N-Out as a model of how to do it right.  So, as a family we don't eat a lot of fast food, but when life finds us on the road, we always find an In-N-Out for our lunch.
